OTTAWA, CANADA (KRNV-TV) — The Tickle-Me-Elmo has been around for more than two decades, but some people are getting a new look at the toy.
The Canada Science and Technology Museum in Ottawa took apart an Elmo, stripping it of its fur and outer covering.

The internet reacted as one might expect.

Why take apart the popular toy? For science, according to the museum.

To be fair, not everyone was horrified.
