MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WTAT-TV) — A Wando High School student was arrested twice in just as many days.

Mount Pleasant police say Alan Brown was first arrested for assaulting a school resource officer after Brown tried to set balloons on fire.

Brown is accused of punching the resource officer in the face after he tried to arrest the student.

He was booked in the county jail that day, but the next day when the student made bail, the principal called police again because of posts Brown made on Facebook joking about the previous day’s incident.

In the posts, police say he was joking about the assault and threatened to shoot the officer and the principal once he got back to school.

Brown was then charged with two counts of threatening a public official and is currently booked at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
