Weekend Winedown: What Is Happening This Week In The Lowcountry
CHARLESTON,SC (ADAM BRADLEY)- Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone and we’re all slightly more jolly-old-elf-shaped, it’s time to look forward to the grand finale of the holidays, and that naturally means the traditional illumination of foliage – aka tree-lighting ceremonies.
Colonial Lake is the place where the Charleston Parks Conservancy holds their annual celebration this Friday at 5:30pm. With food trucks, beverages and a DJ cutting up fat stacks of hot holiday wax, what more could you ask for?
One of the Holy City’s longest-held holiday traditions is the Christmas Candlelight Service at The Citadel’s historic Somerall Chapel. Cadets from the Protestant, Catholic and Gospel Choirs, along with the Cadet Chorale and members of The Citadel Regimental Band join together to create an unforgettable Christmas celebration. If you’re unable to attend, fire up them internets and enjoy the livestream via Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
I’m Adam Bradley and that’s a look at this week’s Weekend Wine Down.
