Weekend Winedown: What Is Happening This Week In The Lowcountry
CHARLESTON, SC (ADAM BRADLEY) – Christmas is less than two weeks away and the temperatures are dropping. Even Santa Claus is looking for creative ways to keep warm and starting Friday you can see what he came up with at the South Carolina Aquarium! The big guy will be granting Christmas wishes to all the fishes in the Great Ocean Tank where children of all ages can have their picture taken and go on a scavenger hunt to find the newest resident baby shark (do doo de doo do do) Finzy! Shows are daily at 11 and 3 Friday through the 23rd.
Santa will towel off and head to the North Area on Saturday for the CODFather’s inaugural Christmas Market and Celebration. It runs from 1 to 6pm and some of the highlights include a 12-foot tree lighting, face painting and other kid-friendly activities and a massive market featuring local artisans. Don’t forget to fill up on the CODFather’s “proper” fish and chips and make sure to grab some mushy peas, my personal favorite.
’Tis the season to cheat on your diet and our friends at Deep Water Vineyard are here to help this Saturday from noon to 3 where you can enjoy a Holiday Wine and Chocolate Pairing with Evolution through Chocolate. Check out Deep Water Vineyard on Facebook for more info.
