Weekend Winedown: What is Happening This Week in the Lowcountry
CHARLESTON, SC (ADAM BRADLEY) – We’re in the thick of holiday madness right now! You’ve survived Christmas and now it’s time to make your New Year’s plans so my advice is to build up your tolerance a bit in advance with the Holiday Pub Crawl. It’s been going on for a little over a month now but this weekend is the perfect time to get your drink on with professional tour guides from The Original Pub Tours of Charleston who will spill the beans on local history and legends from Charleston’s storied past. Shake things up daily at 4 and 7pm now through the January 10th.
This one’s bittersweet for sure – if you’ve ever been to any bar, nightclub, bar mitzvah, wedding, or rich girl’s birthday party in the Holy City in the past two decades you’ve probably hit the dance floor to the music of Plane Jane. Charleston’s most recognizable party band is cranking up their high energy show up for the very last time this week, but not before two awesome last hurrahs. This Sunday Plane Jane says farewell to the Windjammer on the IOP and New Year’s Eve they have their final performance at The Washout on Folly Beach. These guys have been doing it right since 1997, so go out and make a few more fuzzy memories with those fine fellas. Heartfelt congratulations, guys. Plane Jane indeed rocks!
I’m Adam Bradley and that’s your final Weekend Wine Down for 2018! BE SAFE OUT THERE!!!
