Weekend Winedown – What’s Happening This Week in the Lowcountry
CHARLESTON, SC (ADAM BRADLEY, WTAT-TV) — Happy New Year folks and with a new year comes new events and we’ll let you know each week what’s going on in the Weekend Wine Down!
We’ll start with a brand new event that’s likely to grow as the year goes on. First Friday is a monthly music showcase that happens – you guessed it – the First Friday of each month. The venues will likely change month to month, along with the talent. This month, catch the Jaykob Kendrick Band at Chill-N-Grill on Ashley Phosphate and our friend Emily Curtis at Blackwood Smokehouse on Folly Rd.
Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum is saying thank you to the city in their own way by letting visitors name their own admission prices on both Saturday and Sunday. This applies to admission and parking fees.
Finally The Bend hosts the first Marsh Jam of 2018, and this is also the first time the Jam is on a Saturday. From 1-6pm this free event will host several musical acts, food trucks and breweries so bundle up and go enjoy some great free family fun.
That will do it for the very first edition of Weekend Wine Down brought to you by Deep Water Vineyard on Wadmalaw Island!
