5 Ways to KICK Your Metabolism Into Gear in 2019

1. Kick it into high gear: The next time you are hitting the trail, treadmill, or even the pool think about your intensity level. You can trick your body by incorporating short intervals of just 30 seconds of higher intensity and then return to your normal speed. This strategy will require your body to need more oxygen and work harder to burn energy. Your overall workout can be shorter by incorporating boosts of high intensity intervals.

2.Eat Fish. Omega-3’s balance blood sugar and reduce inflammation which helps regulate your metabolism. Omega-3’s reduce your body’s resistance to the hormone Leptin, which is linked to how fast you burn fat. If you don’t like fish – that’s ok, just simply add an omega-3 fatty acid supplement to your daily vitamin routine.

3. Order Green Tea on your next Starbucks run. Research shows that drinking one or more cups of unsweetened green tea per day will give your metabolism a bump. So skip the coffee and keep on ordering that green tea – a great calorie burning alternative.

4. Don’t cut calories. One of the most frustrating parts of dieting is that if you cut too many calories your metabolism puts on the brakes on your fat burning. 5. Make your mornings great again. Eating breakfast is the most important thing you can do to start your day.
