Charleston Firefighters Fight for Better Pay

The City of Charleston fire department started the year with over 40 vacancies; a survey shows that 60% of firefighters who resigned from the job cited pay as the main reason. Because of this, the remaining firefighters must pick up the open shifts, ultimately working longer hours.
