FOOD FRIDAY: Tradd’s
CHARLESTON, SC (FOX 24 NEWS NOW) – On this week’s edition of Food Friday, we take you to East Bay Street to Tradd’s, where sophistication and elegance collide with fun and verve.
The establishment has a beautiful atmosphere, bearing no semblance of what it once was: the former site of Cypress.
Leyla Gulen met with executive chef Drew Hedlund and talked what makes Tradd’s the hottest new eatery in town.
The menu is a huge component, featuring flavors inspired by the travels of Tradd and Weesie Newton, the restaurant’s owners. Prices are also quite reasonable for a fine-dining experience.
“We’ve tried to stay really competitive … part of my philosophy is, if you’re starting with really good high-quality products, your battle is really halfway,” Hedlund says. “You just have to take care of those products along the way … high-quality products that the guests will absolutely enjoy and see that value there at a reasonable price point.”
If you’re looking for a new spot to try this weekend, bring your friends and treat yourself to a lovely evening at Tradd’s.
