Geico Local Office Weekend Drive: What’s Happening This Weekend in the Lowcountry

Just in time for veterans day, the Gaillard Center and the Charleston Symphony are teaming up with Charleston-based watercolor artist Ms. Mary Whyte for a unique event. For over eight years, White has offered We The People portraits of American servicemen and women from all 50 states. These will be displayed over the Charleston Symphony. Many of the subjects from White’s paintings will be in attendance, so expect to catch all the fields. Groundbreaking ceremonies for the long-awaited African American Museum will take place tomorrow at 10 AM downtown. Unfortunately, tickets for the event are unavailable; however, if you would like to be a part of this historical event, you can view the live feed on Facebook by searching for, “IAM museum.
