Geico Local Office Weekend Drive: What’s Happening This Weekend in the Lowcountry
Your LOCAL GEICO WEEKEND DRIVE (WTAT-TV) – ADAM BRADLEY
Anglers around the area are already gearing up for a weekend of chasing the king mackerel during this year’s Carolina Kingfish Classic! Don’t miss the boat this weekend – there’s a lot going on besides spinning fish tales. The kick-off party happened earlier this evening, but tomorrow, things really pick up. With fishing beginning at 6:30am, most of us will probably sleep in and catch the Harborside Pool Family day at 11, or enjoy some live music at the Reel Bar starting at 5pm. Saturday enjoy the Beach party with more live music starting at 5pm and a charity auction and awards ceremony at 7. Proceeds from the charity auction benefit the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. https://fishckc.com/
If you’re a connoisseur of fine beer like many of us around here, you know the Ballpark Festival of Beers is a red-letter day. Head to Joe Riley Stadium Saturday evening starting at 7 for a smattering of suds from loads of local breweries right there on the Riverdogs’ home field. Your regular ticket includes 18 sampling tickets and admission and the first 2500 through the gates get a commemorative sampling glass. VIP and DD tickets are also available for this 21-and-over event. https://rileyparkevents.com/index.php/events/event/ballpark-festival-of-beers/
If you plan on imbibing, here’s a fella that can tell you how to save some money by being a responsible adult.
That will do it for this week’s Geico Local Office Weekend Drive. We’ll see you down the road.
