SUMMERVILLE, SC – Lowcountry SpellBound Champion Drew David leaves this weekend for Washington, D.C. to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Drew is an 8th grade student at DuBose Middle School, and the school is planning a “send-off” on Friday afternoon to show support for him.

Around 2:55 p.m. on Friday (May 24th) the school will create a Walk of Champions for Drew which will consist of all students lining up from the courtyard through the entire school, ending in the car rider loop. Drew will take this “Walk” while all of his fellow Wildcats cheer him on.

At the car rider loop, teachers, school administration, district representatives, and others will gather to wish him luck. At that time, the school will present him with some gifts (t-shirts and other goodies) to help him represent DuBose Middle School in Washington, D.C.

If you are able to attend, we are asking for everyone to be in place in the front of the school by 2:50. DuBose Middle School is located at 1005 Dubose School Road, Summerville, SC 29483
