Manafort Sentenced to 47 Months in Prison
WASHINGTON, D.C. (WTAT-TV) – President Trump’s former campaign chair, Paul Manafort, will spend forty-seven months in prison.
This is twenty-one years shorter than the maximum sentence that he could have gotten. He will have to pay restitution of up to $25-million dollars.
Manafort was convicted of five counts of tax fraud, two counts of defrauding two banks and one count of hiding foreign bank accounts.
He will receive a second sentence next week for a separate case over witness tampering and conspiracy charges. He pleaded guilty to those just last year.
