New Bill Could Eliminate Robocalls
CHARLESTON, SC (WTAT-TV) – If you own a phone, you probably receive around nine robocalls in an hour.
It seems like these days, even though the feds tried cracking down on them, it is still the number one consumer complaint to the FCC.
Legislators have tried to tackle with the “Do Not Call List” back in 2003, but violators were not fazed by the civil fines.
Now, a bill that was first introduced last year is getting a second look in the Senate. The bill charges criminal punishment for the first time.
