New Details in the Murdaugh Investigation

A Colleton County man was arrested in connection to the shooting of Alex Murdaugh. Curtis Edward Smith admitted to plotting with Murdaugh to take his life by shooting Murdaugh in the head. The former South Carolina Attorney confessed to authorities that he provided Smith with the gun and planned for his son to collect $10 million from his life insurance policy.
