Charleston’s V.A. Medical Center Teams Up With CCPD To Benefit Veterans

CHARLESTON, SC (FOX 24 NEWS NOW) – Our law enforcement responds to countless emergencies every day. Some of those calls requiring a skilled and delicate approach, like those made on behalf of our veterans, which can require a protocol that goes beyond the badge.

Dr. Jamie Mcdonagh, psychologist with Charleston’s V.A. Medical Center, and Lt. Dan Maddox with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Department to talk about a special training program to help equip law enforcement with the skills needed to better respond to emergencies involving veterans.
