MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (FOX 24 NEWS NOW) – It was one of the bloodiest and most controversial military events in history. The Vietnam War spanned two decades, pitting Communism against Democracy, resulting in the death of more than 58-thousand American soldiers. Many soldiers, sailors and airmen seeing Vietnam’s dense jungles, rugged mountains, murky swamps, endless rice paddies, and brown rivers for the first time must have felt very far from home.

Patriots Point has opened a new exhibit that will immerse you into the world our men experienced, aptly named ‘Picturing Nam.’

Chris Hauff, public information officer for the museum, joined us in-studio to talk about the new exhibit and the history that lies behind ‘Picturing Nam.1’
