R Kelly Pleads ‘Not Guilty’ to Sexual Abuse Charges
CHICAGO, IL (WTAT-TV) – Singer, R Kelly, appeared in court after spending three nights in jail.
He pleaded ‘not guilty’ to abuse and aggravated sexual abuse charges.
There are four alleged victims involved in those cases that spanned more than a decade.
Lawyer, Michael Avenatti, says that he has a video tape of Kelly engaging in sexual acts with a minor around the year 2000. Prosecutors also say that they have DNA evidence linking Kelly to the alleged crimes.
There is a viral hashtag on social media called #MuteRKelly, a call to all radio stations to stop playing his music.
