SC Education Reform Bill Changes
CHARLESTON, SC (WTAT-TV) – An education reform bill is making its way through the South Carolina House, but educators expect a few major changes to be made before it becomes a law.
Nick Papantonis takes us through the changes teachers say they want.
One local kindergarten teacher says there are issues with many parts of the bill, in particular no across the board pay raises for teachers and a provision that would let non certified teachers into some schools.
Legislators say they’re looking forward to hearing feedback from all sides before the amendment process begins, including the teachers.
