Teachers Rally For Reform, What Comes Next
COLUMBIA, SC (WTAT-TV) – There was a sea of red in Columbia yesterday. Nearly 10-thousand people showed up to the South Carolina Statehouse in support of Red for Ed.
Teachers across the state say they are done waiting for change and are going to make it happen. Parents and students marched alongside the teachers, rallying for better pay, smaller class sizes, and more.
Now that the rally has come to an end, teachers are waiting on legislation to make the next move.
Lawmakers are now debating on an education bill called, The South Carolina Career Opportunity and Access For All Act.
