An Off-Duty Firefighter Sprung Into Action When Spotting Smoke From Apartments

A St. Paul firefighter, Ethan Crocker, was off-duty when he sprung into action after noticing smoke near Martin’s Creek Apartments in Summerville. Crocker is now looking at more than three months of recovery due to third-degree burns from a pot of oil that had caught fire.
“…to have someone like him that would do anything for a stranger including risking his life… “says his mother, Kimberly Brown, after her son successfully retrieved two toddlers from the burning apartment and got them to safety.

He then went back for a man and woman who remained in the complex. FOX 24 News reporter Amy Russo has more details on the incident.
